Axle Telecom is proud to announce our role as the telecommunications provider for Northumberland County’s transformative broadband expansion project; an ambitious initiative that will deliver fast, reliable, high-speed internet to over 11,000 underserved homes and businesses across the region.

As part of the family of local telecom networks owned by Windsor Private Capital’s WPC Infrastructure Fund that includes EH!tel Networks, Bruce Telecom and GBTel, our collective networks already bring dependable high-speed broadband access to homes and businesses across rural Ontario. With services spanning Waterloo Region, as well as the counties of Grey, Bruce, Dufferin, Wellington, Middlesex, and construction now underway on this milestone project for Northumberland County and Alderville First Nation, Axle  is further closing the digital divide for Ontario’s rural communities. 

The Northumberland Broadband Initiative is a community investment in economic development, education, healthcare, and the long-term vitality of rural Northumberland. With the creation of local employment opportunities, including members of LiUNA Local 183, who will be instrumental in bringing this much-anticipated infrastructure to fruition, Axle Telecom is honoured to be part of this important work and we look forward to connecting communities across Northumberland.
